The Right Way to Load a Bosch Dishwasher

The Right Way to Load a Bosch Dishwasher
The Bosch dishwasher is efficient, flexible, and customizable with the third MyWay rack. To get the most out of this versatile machine, you need to know the right way to load a Bosch dishwasher.

1. Load the Bottom with Heavy Dishes
The bottom rack is sturdy and well supported, making it perfect for heavier dishes. Pots, pans, large mixing bowls, and heavier dinnerware get the support they need while being scrubbed clean. Platters and baking pans should be placed near the sides, front, and back to prevent them from blocking water and detergent from reaching the upper racks. Forks, spoons, and knives should be separated in the baskets and compartments to prevent them from nesting.

2. Glasses, Bowls, and Mugs on the Middle Row
The middle rack of the Bosch dishwasher is the perfect location for smaller items such as bowls, glasses, and mugs. Keep these items upside-down and at a slight angle so the insides can be cleaned well and water doesn't pool on the bottoms. Spatulas, serving spoons, and other long items can go on this rack, laying flat. Thinner cooking and serving utensils can sometimes go under heavier mugs or bowls to maximize space. Be sure they don't block the water though, or the mugs and bowls won't be properly cleaned.

3. The Top Rack Gives Extra Space
Some Bosch dishwashers come with a convenient third MyWay rack which is perfect for smaller mugs, cups, bowls, measuring cups, and delicate items. It's also good for silverware and cooking or serving utensils.

Final Tips
• Do not stack, nest, or overlap your dishes.
• Do not overcrowd the silverware basket.
• The dirtiest parts of the dishes should be facing inward or downward so the water can reach these parts.
• Be sure no dishes are blocking the vents or sprayers.
• Knife blades should always face down to prevent injuries.
• Make sure the dishwasher is full before starting. This saves water, power, and money.
• Choose the right detergent. Delicate glassware will require a gentle detergent, for example.
• Choose the right setting. Tough food and stains will require the heaviest setting.
• The Speed60 setting can finish a load of dishes in an hour.

With the right detergent and wash setting, your Bosch dishwasher will make washing dishes quick, effortless, and maybe even a little fun.
